“We could lead the world if the right projects receive the right funding”

Updated: Apr 21, 2020

WearOptimo was included in a recent Top Story by Lynne Minion of the online newspaper Healthcare IT. The article, titled "We could lead the world": Australia's MTP sector shows it's punching above its weight" showcased the 11 visionary healthcare projects selected for support in the BioMedTech Horizons funding stream, administered by MTPConnect. The quote in the article’s headline came from MTPConnect’s CEO Sue MacLeman. The program is funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

This award, worth $900,000 was announced in April 2018, will be dollar-matched by the Australian National University, with whom WearOptimo is a strategic innovation partner.

The funding will be used to achieve ‘proof-of-concept’ of our minimally invasive continuous monitoring wearables, designed to significantly improve healthcare and impact on quality of life through precision medicine.
