Biography
With a career spanning 40 years in the pharmaceutical and bioscience industries, Lusia Guthrie is a company founder, former CEO, technology developer and medtech entrepreneur.
Lusia started her career as a Hospital Scientist before joining the Manufacturing Division of FH Faulding & Co (now Mayne Pharma). She then went on to co-found medical technology innovation company LBT Innovations Limited (ASX: LBT), where she was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. LBT won two MDEA Medical Design Excellence Awards in the USA “recognising significant achievements in medical product design and engineering that improve the quality of healthcare delivery and accessibility”.
As well as her role with WearOptimo, Lusia currently serves as: Chair of Neo-Bionica, Chair of the Australian Lung Health Initiative, and Non-Executive Director of CCRM-Australia (Centre for Commercialisation of Regenerative Medicine). She also serves on industry advisory committees for the Australian Medtech Manufacturing Centre and the Australian Institute for Machine Learning. Lusia is the immediate past-Chair of the BioMelbourne Network.
